Certified Health Coach
Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) 2016
Kris knows first-hand how the demands of a high-stress job can take their toll on one’s own energy and well-being. Daily lattes in meetings and sugary afternoon snacks were part of a poor diet and sedentary lifestyle that depleted her natural energy. But, like many busy professionals, she was blind to the effects.
Then two years ago, Kris’s father passed away from preventable illnesses. The stress and reality of his death became a catalyst for making permanent, positive changes in her life. It helped her to see that food and stress management matter, and that her own health and that of her family depended upon adopting healthy habits for both body and mind.
In the spring of 2015, Kris decided to make a bold change. She wanted to build upon the positive steps she had taken and experience what it felt like to truly run on a full tank. So she traded her corporate job for freelance energy consulting, began a regular yoga practice, and enrolled with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) to train as a health coach. By the end of 2015, Kris completed Kriya Yoga teacher training at The Institute for Personal Development. Then in March 2016, she graduated from the IIN, earned her distinction as a Health Coach, and launched UnrefinedHealth.com.
Now, Kris works as a health coach teaching busy professionals how to integrate the demands of the job with healthy eating and lifestyle strategies. Through her work, she shows people how to restore and replenish their natural energy through unrefined, unprocessed food and refueling strategies.
