Kristina “Kris” Magnusson has over 25 years of energy experience in downstream refined products, specializing in procurement, risk management, and hedging heating oil, diesel fuel, gasoline, and propane. Her foundation started early, growing up and working as the fourth generation of her family’s home heating fuel business in rural New Hampshire. Her passion for helping independent family energy businesses is grounded in living and understanding the demands of a retail service company operating non-stop, 24-7-365.
From working for refiner and refined products wholesaler Irving Oil and Sprague Energy to hedging, trading, and consulting for companies at Hedge Solutions and Angus Energy, Kris understands both the physical supply chain and oil commodity futures markets that impact energy retailers, dealers, and end-users. Most importantly, she is able to translate energy market information that allows her customers to formulate daily, short-term, and long-term strategies and decisions. Lastly, Kris understands that the energy landscape has dramatically changed in the past decade, requiring new effective and efficient means of dealing with ever-changing and volatile commodity, financial, and equity markets. The challenges facing fuel retailers and end-users have higher stakes than those their fathers and grandfathers encountered.
Simply put, Kris is an energy consultant seeking to increase the capabilities, confidence, profitability, and fuel buying strategies of her clients.
